THE FORMULA, EXPLAINED
Our planned formula brings together a standardized saffron extract, L-theanine and vitamin C. Final formula, ingredient supply and label are subject to manufacturer confirmation.
Selected for our planned formula because the extract itself has published human research. Pharmactive describes affron® as standardized to 3.5% Lepticrosalides. Standardization helps specify the extract being studied; it does not prove an effect from our drink.
About the extractAn amino acid also found in tea, studied for stress and sleep related outcomes. The evidence is still developing, and research on another formulation does not prove how The Daily Pour will perform.
Ascorbic acid is a form of vitamin C, a nutrient involved in normal immune function, collagen formation and antioxidant protection.

The ingredient, amount and study design all matter. A 2017 trial studied affron® at 22 mg and 28 mg daily in 128 adults reporting low mood. After four weeks, the 28 mg group improved on the primary self reported mood measure compared with placebo; the 22 mg group did not. This is evidence about the ingredient, not a clinical trial of The Daily Pour.

Lopresti et al., 2025: 202 adults, 12 weeks, 28 mg affron daily. Improvement in the primary symptom measure, without overall between group differences in the other secondary outcomes. Read the study.
Hidese et al., 2019: 30 adults, four weeks, 200 mg L-theanine daily in Suntheanine tablets. Some sleep subscales improved versus placebo; overall cognitive outcomes did not differ significantly. Read the study.
These studies tested individual ingredients in other formulations. The Daily Pour has not been clinically tested. Results are not guaranteed.
